Amy Csizmar Dalal is Professor of Computer Science at Carleton College in Northfield, MN. From 2013-2016, she served as Chair of the Computer Science department. Prior to Carleton, she was a post-doctoral researcher at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories. She received her BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and her MS and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on the usability of computer networks and on self-healing computer networks for the home. Her teaching focuses on integrating academic civic engagement experiences into all levels of the computer science curriculum. She is co-chair of the Posters Committee for this year's Grace Hopper.
