Jessica Gullbrand, Ph.D., joined Intel Corporation in 2006. She is a senior Thermal Mechanical Engineer in the Datacenter Engineering Group, where she is working on next generation Supercomputer designs. She is leading the early thermal mechanical architecture and technology exploration for next generation super computers. At Intel, Dr. Gullbrand has worked on new and innovative technology solutions in fluids, acoustics, and thermals within Intel Labs, the Client Computing Group, and Datacenter Engineering Group. Dr. Gullbrand earned a Ph.D. in fluid mechanics from Lund University, Sweden, after which she accepted a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Turbulence Research, one of the world’s leading research facilities in fluid dynamic modeling. From 2003 to 2005, Dr. Gullbrand was an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has 5 patents, 3 external awards, 4 internal Intel awards, and 26 peer-reviewed technical publications.
