Nancy M. Amato is Unocal Professor and Regents Professor at Texas A&M. She received undergraduate degrees from Stanford and graduate degrees from UC Berkeley and the University of Illinois. Her main areas of research focus are motion planning and robotics, computational biology and geometry, and parallel computing. She served as Program Chair for IEEE ICRA 2015 and RSS 2016, is an elected member of the CRA Board of Directors, serves as Co-Chair of CRA-W and is a past co-Chair of the NCWIT AA. She is a AAAS Fellow, an ACM Fellow, and an IEEE Fellow.
