Senior Engineering Program Manage

Tamara Nichols Helms is a Senior Engineering Program Manager at NetApp. She has over 20 years of experience in various engineering and leadership roles. She currently provides senior program management support for the Performance Engineering organization. She achieves this by teaching project management principles at the local community college, mentoring under-represented minority students interested in STEM, and by tutoring elementary students. Tamara completed her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at North Caroline State University and completed her MBA at Wake Forest University. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering in the community with organizations like Dress for Success, NC Food Bank, & STEM youth programs. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she has chaired various youth programs. She also enjoys giving back to her alma matar as a member of the NC State Minority Engineering Programs Board.
