Savita Banerjee received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. With over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, she has been intimately engaged in all critical phases of product development: from roadmap planning, technology selection, SoC integration, silicon bring-up, new product introduction to high volume production. Savita is recognized as an expert in silicon test strategy and deployment. Savita is currently a Principal Engineer in the Silicon and Sensors team at Microsoft, responsible for developing design features to ensure high quality and manufacturability of the Xbox and HoloLens. She is an outdoor enthusiast and classic rock connoisseur. Savita is committed to global citizenship and is a passionate advocate for social justice, youth empowerment, the environment and humanitarian relief.
