Mave Houston is the Head of Design Research Methodology for the Experience Design Research (XDR) team at Capital One. XDR is the collection of user research labs and teams across Capital One (in 5 US cities), dedicated to discovering valuable insights about our customers and prospects with respect to their money. She loves finding out how people make sense of their world and how they explore the relationship between their financial goals and their everyday lives. Mave holds a Ph.D. in computer science, with a focus in human computer interaction from Auburn University, where she was a Presidential Fellow. Mave has spoken at numerous conferences, workshops and symposiums about the importance of user research in innovation.
