Frédéric Véron is Fannie Mae's Senior Vice President and Enterprise Chief Information Officer, reporting to the Senior Vice President and Head of Operations and Technology. Véron’s group leads development, infrastructure, and end-user services across the company to align information technology (IT) with current business needs. His group is responsible for transforming the technology to streamline internal operations, improve overall customer experience, and ensure the optimal performance of Fannie Mae’s technological infrastructure. Prior to assuming his current position in October 2016, Véron was Senior Vice President – Application Management and Development. His group was responsible for developing and maintaining all applications supporting the company’s business – including portfolios spanning capital markets, customer engagement, underwriting and pricing, credit loss management, finance, risk, and corporate systems. Previously, Véron was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, where he led development of Fannie Mae’s corporate objectives in alignment with Operation and Technology’s goal of simplifying the company’s technology environment. He was responsible for overseeing the architecture and data technology engineering centers, leading efforts to improve the effectiveness of the technology organization, and promoting innovation within the division. Experience: Before joining Fannie Mae in 2010, Véron was a Partner with Kurt Salmon – a Paris-based global strategy and management consulting firm – leading its U.S. consulting operations. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director with BearingPoint and KPMG, where he was responsible for the U.S. financial services IT strategy and infrastructure practice. He has directed significant IT strategy and technology transformation initiatives for clients such as AIG, AXA, Bank of America, Banque Nationale du Canada, JPMorgan Chase, MetLife, Société Générale, TD Bank Financial Group, Visa, and others. Education: Véron has a masters in computer science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris.
