Mr. Mackert is currently Managing Director and CIO of iTM Health, an international management consultancy engaged in delivering CIO services and strategy. Previously, as CIO he led the global IT organization of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation comprised of 350 clinics and pharmacies across 38 countries, the largest AIDS clinical system in the world. During his tenure the IT department supported more than 300% growth and active patient census from 190,000 to 620,000 in a three-year period while modernizing the global IT infrastructure. Prior to joining AHF, Wayne he served seven years as Region CIO with Dignity Health, formerly Catholic HealthCare West, where he spearheaded IT Strategy and Service Delivery for 20 hospitals and 250+ clinics during technology transformation and healthcare reform. Wayne has had a successful career as CIO and CTO across multiple industry sectors i.e. airlines, hospitality and financial sector in addition to healthcare. As a CTO he led successful engineering teams that delivered more than $1B in software solutions to the various sector markets. As a management consultant Partner and Practice Director he has managed and delivered mission critical initiatives for numerous Top-50 global companies. He is very proud of the fact that he led the creation and certification of a CMMi Level 5 software engineering organization and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) finalist. Wayne is currently member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society. Wayne studied Computer Science at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University three years and later Columbia Pacific University where he earned his BS in Information Technology Management and MBA. He is a Certified Project Manager, Certified Systems Professional and LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt.
