Bio
Andrew leads the Marketing, Communications & Sponsorships team at Cycle for Survival -- the movement to beat rare cancers. Since 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised more than $105 million through its signature indoor team cycling events across the U.S., making it the fastest-growing athletic fundraising event in the country. Together with the movement's founding partner, Equinox, Cycle for Survival has funded hundreds of breakthrough clinical trials and studies, with 100% of every dollar raised going directly to pioneering rare cancer research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to Cycle for Survival, Andrew spent over seven years in the advertising business after graduating from the University of Virginia. He started his career at Ogilvy & Mather in in New York, where he became a Digital Strategist working on brands like Coca-Cola, American Express & Pfizer. He went on to become Communications Strategy Director at Anomaly, leading strategies on award-winning campaigns for DICK’S Sporting Goods, Duracell, Google & Marriott. On the weekends he also guides trips for Sourced Adventures, getting New Yorkers out of the city to go whitewater rafting, kayaking, wine tasting, skiing, etc. He comes from a family of professional musicians, growing up in the D.C. area and rooting for Washington area sports teams – a hobby that he fully realizes is completely futile.
