Tom Lapcevic is the Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer at 24 Hour Fitness. Tom serves on the 24 Hour Fitness executive leadership team and oversees the company’s marketing, business development, digital media and advertising sales divisions. Prior to 24 Hour Fitness, Tom was the founder and CEO of ClubCom, the world’s largest operator of digital media and marketing networks in health clubs. In 2004, Tom sold ClubCom to Amer Sports Corporation (AMEAS:NASDAQ/HEL). At Amer, Tom continued as ClubCom’s CEO. In 2008, Tom oversaw Amer’s sale of ClubCom to Zoom Media, an advertising sales company headquartered in Montreal. At Zoom, Tom continued as CEO of ClubCom and also became President of Zoom’s local advertising sales division (Zoom Media Connect). Prior to ClubCom, Tom was the founder and CEO of Strive, which became a leading manufacturer of commercial fitness and physical rehabilitation equipment in the United States. Tom sold Strive in 1997 to a private investment group. Prior to Strive, Tom was a commercial litigation and intellectual property attorney at Reed Smith, an international law firm. Tom is the inventor of numerous United States & European Patents in the areas of digital marketing systems, personal media technologies and fitness equipment. He was a founding member of the Outdoor Video Advertising Bureau (now the DPAA) and has served on various media, marketing and advertising advisory boards. Tom has authored and been featured in numerous publications on place based digital media, mobile marketing and fitness technologies. Tom graduated summa cum laude from Washington & Jefferson College with dual degrees in Accounting and Economics. He was honored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as one of the top accounting scholars in the United States and was recognized as a Capital One Academic All-American. Tom was a two-time GTE All-American in wrestling. Tom earned his Law Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Tom and his wife Julie reside in Danville, California. They have four adult children.
