Karen Chaney is the Implementation Support Manager for HASANZ. Since December 2014 she has been responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and is ultimately responsible for the delivery of the HASANZ Register.

Karen’s early career in London involved service delivery and project management in the telecommunications industry. Since arriving in New Zealand at the end of 2001, Karen has spent nearly fifteen years undertaking a variety of roles within the energy industry. These have ranged from a consultancy-based role providing advice on workplace legislative compliance matters to the likes of Meridian and Transpower, policy development roles with the transmission team of the electricity industry regulator, to more recent leadership roles as the director of that regulator’s retail team, and as the programme manager commercial and acting general manager business for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority.
