Bio

Jane Pierce graduated from Massey University in December 2015 with a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Ergonomics. After returning to New Zealand from her extended working OE, Jane, an experienced physiotherapist, first took Massey’s undergraduate paper: Ergonomics: Work, Performance, Health and Design through the Centre for Ergonomics, Occupational Health and Safety, became hooked on Ergonomics and thus a committee member of the Ergonomics and Human Factors Society of New Zealand. She then completed the Massey Postgraduate Diploma in Ergonomics (PGDipErg) and most recently an MPhil in Ergonomics in 2015. Her research thesis was on adjustable height desks and she has a scientific paper on this currently under review by the journal Ergonomics. She attended the International Ergonomics association (IEA) Congress in Melbourne in 2015. Jane currently works as a physiotherapist in occupational health and safety in at Work Recovery.
