Bio

Dr. Zaidi is a Senior Occupational & Environmental Health and Safety Consultant presently working as a branch medical advisor at ACC and Occupational Health Physician at MidCentral DHB in New Zealand. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the department of Occupational and Aviation Medicine in Otago University. He has worked in locum position as an Occupational Health Physician for Hawkes Bay District Health Board. He has been consulting for more than 18 years in the field of health, safety and occupational hygiene. Dr. Zaidi has performed thousands of medical examination related to employment (pre and post-employment), fitness to work and disability assessments. Provided medial opinion on more than 4000 cases based on causality to injury, proper treatment, and rehabilitation. He has performed more than 300 environmental & occupational health, hygiene and safety surveys, and has provided consulting services for a diverse cliental ranging from institutional establishments to the automotive industry. Mr. Zaidi provides firsthand experience in assessing the requirements of the client involving the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of a wide variety of chemical, physical and biological stressors.

Dr. Zaidi practiced Occupational Medicine in New Zealand, Pakistan, Canada, UAE, and Qatar during which he played an important role in advocacy, performing medical examinations, and conducting body burden evaluations involving various chemicals. He has developed and reviewed many safe work procedures, and has written health and safety compliance reports. He has performed more than 400 ergonomic evaluations and occupational risk assessments, as well as numerous heat stress surveys and indoor air quality investigations.
