Kelli Wells is Executive Director of Education and Skills for the GE Foundation. She was originally hired on the company’s corporate side in 1995, then shifted over to the foundation in 2004, back then with the title of Director-U.S. Education. Kelli joined GE in 1995 as an investment representative with GE Asset Management. In 1996, she was appointed to Quality where she became a black belt in six sigma. After her role in Quality she managed International Marketing at GE Financial Assurance. In 2001, she joined the Corporate Citizenship team at GE Capital where she held responsibilities around global programs. Per the Phoenix Business Journal, Wells was born and raised in Arizona. When it comes to improving K-12 education, Wells’ shared an answer in the form of a question: “How do we create a country that is going to remain great? We stumble because we make this a political issue. The system is broken. What is the alternative?”
