Located on the spot where almost half of all enslaved Africans brought to the United States took their first steps in the ‘new world’, the museum will tell the often untold stories of the history and contributions of that group in building America.. Michael is an experienced executive - having managed iconic global brands, led technology and CPG companies, and served as a trusted adviser to CEO’s on their most challenging strategic brand challenges. Michael received an AB from the Maxwell School of Government at Syracuse University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. The International African American Museum is scheduled to break ground in early 2017.
