Marta Thio is a Spanish trained Neonatologist that had a Consultant position in Barcelona
for 13 years. She moved to Melbourne in 2010 to join The Royal Women’s Hospital as a
clinician and researcher, and the PIPER-Neonatal Transport service as a Medical Educator.
She completed a PhD in the field of Neonatal Resuscitation and currently holds a Government NHMRC Early Career Fellowship research grant. She has a leadership position in Neonatal Resuscitation training. She is a member of the Spanish neonatal Resuscitation Group and she revised and contributes to updating and delivering the Victorian Neonatal Resuscitation training program (www.neoresus.org.au). In 2015 she joined the ILCOR-Neonatal resuscitation committee.
