Marianne J. Niland is an Enterprise Strategist within ServiceNow’s Inspire program.   Her group provides executive advisory services to help CIOs imagine and achieve transformative change that will reinvigorate their business services. 

Prior to this role, Marianne had worked over 20 years consulting with clients on projects within the IT Strategy & Management practice first at IBM and then as Managing Partner for Nova Optima Consulting.  Her experience has been in aligning IT strategy, processes and investments to meet each organization’s future needs. Clients have ranged across the finance, insurance, pharmaceutical and public sectors.  She has led various IT Program Offices as well as many large IT Service Management process re-engineering projects. Marianne has had extensive facilitation experience building consensus across organizations as well as developing an organization’s skills to ensure the clients’ success after the project completes. 

Marianne has a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia where she was an Echols Scholar and received her M.B.A. from New York University.  She is a certified ITIL V3 Expert. She has a special interest in literacy-related volunteer work and has done pro bono consulting for local schools.
