Lead for Army Commercial Mobile, Cybersecurity Directorate, Office of the CIO, Army

Rick Walsh has dedicated more than 28 years of government service in the field of Information Technology. He began by introducing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) into the Defense Fuel Supply Center (DFSC), representing the DoD to the Petroleum and Airline Industry. Mr. Walsh was the Information Assurance Program Manager for the Army Materiel Command (AMC) for 10 years.

As the Lead for Army Mobility and as the Liaison to DISA he has been key in the deployment and integration of Commercial Mobile Devices into the Army Business Capabilities. All Army Senior Leadership now have a Smartphone or Mobile Tablet Army enabling the Mobile workspace.

Rick has received a Baccalaureate Gold Medal for excellence in Information Technology from Computer World for the Secure Bluetooth CAC Sled. His certifications include: CISSP, ITIL Foundation, Capability Maturity Model Level 3 Program Manager and Federal Information Technology System Professional Manager (FITSP-M).
