Vice President, U.S Federal Software, IBM

Dermot Murray is currently IBM’s Vice President responsible for the U.S. Federal Software Group. In his current role, Dermot leads the software sales, business strategy and technical teams driving client value for IBM’s Federal customers. Prior to his current role, Dermot was IBM’s Director, U.S. Federal Software responsible for the U.S. Federal Civilian and Homeland Security Software Business Unit. Prior to joining IBM Dermot founded and built a global consulting company based in San Francisco with clients around the world. Dermot has also held leadership positions in a number of startup businesses where he helped set up their professional services and sales organizations. Dermot holds an MBA Degree from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business where we graduated as Fuqua Scholar from their Global Executive Program. He also holds a Masters Degree in Engineering with a focus on Electronic Control System Design from Dublin City University, Ireland.
