Bio
Jeffrey Volk is the Senior Vice President of Business Development at MLB Advanced Media. In his current role, he generates new revenues through partnerships across digital, mobile and connected devices. In addition to live streaming, gaming, social media, mobile and content relationships, Jeff leverages MLBAM’s vast technology expertise to expand beyond baseball, which include partnerships with WWE Network, PGA TOUR, HBO, ESPN, USGA, IBM, The Masters, Advertising Week, and New York Tech Meetup. In addition, Jeff is an active investor and entrepreneur. Jeff co-founded DIDiT, Inc. (diditlabs.com; @didit), a mobile-first platform for active-minded individuals looking to better discover, organize and achieve experiences. He also co-founded New York Venture Community Sports (NYVCSports.com; @NYVCSports) with the mission to integrate NYC's vast entrepreneurial, enterprise, and investing communities through a curated network of senior executives at the intersection of digital and sports. Jeff is also a founding member of NextGen Angels NYC (www.NextGenAngels.com), a growing angel investment group featuring NYC digital executives and entrepreneurs across various industries. Prior to joining MLBAM, Jeff was the President of Digital Media at Athletes’ Performance, where he oversaw the strategy and development of the company’s digital properties and partnerships with adidas, Gatorade, Starwood and others. Previously, Jeff spent six years as the Director and General Manager of Advanced Media at the United States Tennis Association, where he oversaw a network of 275+ Web sites, including the US Open, US Open Series, and USTA.com. Additionally, Jeff was the Executive Producer of the first ever US Open Live Webcast and USOpen.org, which won three Webby Awards, including Best Sports Website (USOpen.org), Best Live Event Website (USOpen.org), and Best Live Streaming Event (Pete Sampras’ return). Jeff also worked for the consulting firm, Scient, where he built business models for online and wireless ventures, including Major League Baseball. He began his career at Ketchum, where he helped launch the Ketchum Sports Practice with Visa USA’s sponsorships of the NFL, Olympic Games, NASCAR and the Triple Crown. Jeff received his BA from University of Pennsylvania and earned his MBA at the NYU Stern School of Business. He is an alumni recruiter for UPenn and has competed in several endurance events, including the NYC Triathlon, NYC-to-Boston AIDSRide and Pan Mass Challenge, raising money for multiple cancer charities.
