Mrs. Minette LIBOM LI LIKENG has been Director General of Cameroon Customs since November 2007. She is at the helm of an administration that she knows very well. Having graduated from the prestigious National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in 1984, she is holder of a Postgraduate Diploma in Customs management, first by order of merit in her graduating class. This qualification opened the doors for a rich career in the Customs Administration, spanning over 30 years. She has equally served as a lecturer at the National School of Administration and Magistracy from 1997 to 2007, rising to the position of Head of the Customs Section. Her tenure of office as head of Cameroon Customs has been characterized by an ambitious reform programme covering all domains of activities, thereby making this administration to be numbered today amongst the most efficient in Cameroon. As such, Cameroon Customs has become one of the frequently cited models with regard to integrity, professionalism and good governance by national and international institutions such as the Cameroon Ministry in charge of Supreme State Audit, the World Customs Organisation (WCO) and the World Bank. In March 2014, she was elected Vice-Chair of the World Customs Organisation for the West and Central African Region. She took over office with effect for 1st July 2014 for a 2 year term.
