Mr Ergezer is in charge of trade facilitation in the CEFTA Secretariat. He has joined the Secretariat in March 2011 and taken over the responsibility of CEFTA Subcommittee on Customs and Rules of Origin until 2014. From November 2014 onwards, Mr Ergezer is responsible for CEFTA Subcommittees on Agriculture and SPS, and NTBs and TBT together with Subcommittee on Customs and Rules of Origin, and CEFTA Committee on Trade Facilitation which has been established by the CEFTA Joint Committee. From January 2015 Mr Ergezer is in charge of following up the negotiations between CEFTA Parties on simplification of border procedures, electronic exchange of information, and mutual recognition of AEOs, which is one of the main pillars of CEFTA Trade Facilitation Agenda.  In addition to CEFTA Trade Facilitation Agenda, Mr Ergezer is responsible for following up the revision of the Pan-European Mediterranean Convention, and amending the Protocol of Origin of CEFTA Agreement to link with the PEM Convention. Furthermore, Mr Ergezer contributed to the establishment of CEFTA Project Facility, with a view to providing financial assistance to short term, and small budgeted interventions which are to be decided by the CEFTA Parties in line with the priorities regarding the implementation of the Agreement. This facility has been up and running since June 2012, and provides a reliable framework for other international donors considering to contribute the financing of technical assistance heading to the CEFTA Region. In addition, Mr Ergezer has developed CEFTA Market Access Barriers Database in which the CEFTA Parties can record their market access complaints according to international pre-defined criteria.

Before the Secretariat, Mr Ergezer has been working for the European Commission and in charge of the EU financial assistance for the modernisation of Turkish Customs Administration in the years between 2001 and 2011.
