In June 2012, he was appointed to the position of CBSA Counsellor to the Mission of Canada to the EU and the WCO.

From 2007 to 2012, he assumed leadership of  the Basic Officer Training Programs at the CBSA College. He was responsible for the recruit training, detector dog training as well as management training.

From 2004 to 2007, he was the Director of the Strategies and Program Development which mandate included the design and development of all CBSA training programs.

From 2001 to 2004, he managed the Customs capacity building project in Benin, including a two-year assignment in Benin.

In October 1999, he was assigned to Headquarters, where he occupied, until January 2001, the role of senior project advisor.

From 1996 to 1999, he acted as a organizational development advisor to the Director General of Dubai Customs and his management team on issues pertaining to modernization, training and workforce development.

He joined Customs in 1982 as a Customs Inspector until his transfer to the National Training College as an instructor.

He holds a bachelor degree and a diploma in distance training.  He is also a graduate of the Canada School of Public Service executive development program DIREXION.
