After graduation from the federal University for Applied Public Administration, School of Finance, I started as a Customs executive Officer (Deputy Head of Customs Office). Later on I became an auditor (Main Customs Office) and from there I changed to the College of the Federal Administration and became a lecturer for customs procedure and customs IT-Systems.

In 2007 I became an Executive Officer at the Federal Finance Office, department “Transit Procedure and Export” and now I´m a team leader at the department “Authorizations of simplified procedures specially transit procedures and AEO”.

My work now consists in writing regulations for customs procedures/authorisations and creating uniform standards for customs procedures. I have a good knowledge of transport carriers (rail, ship, air and truck) and their respective customs requirements and duties, in particular risk analysis, import and export procedure and EU-border crossing, which includes Integrated Border Management.

Between 2005 and 2012 I took part in three different EU/Turkey Twinning Projects on customs and border control as a Short-Term Expert.
