Rachel Hutchisson (@RachelHutchssn) is Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy at Blackbaud, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLKB), a 3,000-person technology company powers the business of philanthropy. She leads Corporate Social Responsibility, having built the company’s programs from the ground up, relying on expertise she gained in over two decades of working at the intersection of the business world and the nonprofit sector. She is passionate that “giving is for everyone,” championing this theme within the company and throughout the philanthropic and business communities, as well as through www.BusinessDoingGood.com, a free web resource that helps small-to-mid-sized businesses build giving functions into their operations. Rachel is a member of the #GivingTuesday core advisory team, leads Blackbaud’s involvement with the Clinton Global Initiative, and serves on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) International, The Giving Institute (providers of the annual Giving USA report), and the Coastal Community Foundation. She is part of the core team that launched TEDxCharleston in 2013 and mentors many professional women in her community. Rachel is a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, and received a master’s degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Rachel is a Renaissance Weekend participant and is the recipient of the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Influential Women in Business Rising Star Award.
