Having launched her own consulting company in 1979, Wendy is a highly-recognized author, and speaker for clinical coding in healthcare. As the firm’s CEO, Wendy provides strategic leadership and business development for HRS including the formation of the HRSIsrael Coding Academy in 2013 and the official opening of HRSIsrael in December 2014. Prior to founding HRS, Wendy held executive positions at a large, urban hospital in Baltimore, Maryland as well as a Maryland state agency focused on healthcare data and clinical coding. She has not only built a successful and highly-respected company within the healthcare sector, but balanced family and work while a widowed mother of two daughters; both of whom now have leadership roles at HRS . Wendy endowed an AHIMA Foundation scholarship in her name for single parents and has also served on numerous boards within the Baltimore Jewish Community. Wendy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from the Medical University of South Carolina and resides with her husband, Perry Gould, in Baltimore, Maryland.
