Joel has spent 20 working closely with entrepreneurs and high-tech companies, identifying and bringing to market new, disruptive technologies. In his current role as Director, Strategic Business Development for Intel’s Platform Engineering Group, his role is to identify promising technologies of potential interest to Intel and to drive deep, engineering driven engagements and business collaborations to create new technology and IP. Joel led Intel’s acquisition of Invision Technologies (today, known as RealSense), and developed collaborations with companies such as Omek Interactive (acquired by Intel) and Tobii Technologies. Prior to his current role, Joel was Chairman of Ceedo, Ltd., a startup pioneering new application virtualization technologies. Joel also was a Sr. Investment Manager at Intel Capital from 2000 to 2007, where he was responsible for investments such as Identify Software (sold to BMC), Gteko (sold to Microsoft), and Jungo (sold to NDS). He is a Member of the Israel and California Bars, and a resident of Ya’ad in the Misgav region. He is an aspiring viticulturist and amateur vintner.
