Matt serves as Vice President of VMware’s Global Technology Solutions(GTS) organization. In this capacity, Matt has responsibility for the development of a wide range of solutions and services that are leveraged by customers and partners to design, architect, implement and operate innovative solutions to today’s complex IT and business challenges. Equipped with many of the company’s top architects and engineers, GTS often engages with the company’s most strategic and demanding clients to pioneer the development of new uses and applications for VMware’s technologies. Matt recently led the development and launch of the company’s first Professional Services Center of Excellence in Sofia, Bulgaria to increase VMware’s delivery capacity in offering high quality customizations and integrations for our customers. Prior to running GTS, Matt was responsible for the WW Cloud Services team, which sold and delivered Cloud Computing platforms at some of the company’s earliest Service Provider and Enterprise customers, capturing the IP and then enabling Field Operations and the VMware Partner ecosystem to scale. Before joining VMware five years ago, Matt worked with Sun Microsystems for 13 years, performing multiple roles in Sales, Operations and Services. In his last role, Matt was responsible for Sun’s North American Professional Services organization, which he helped grow to a $300M/yr business. Before entering the Technology industry, Matt worked in the Financial Services Industry for Smith Barney and Kidder Peabody. He was graduated from Boston University, with a major in Economics. Matt lives in Rumson, NJ with his wife Jessica and their four children.
