| So, What do Students Want? Speaker Description In February and March 2018, sparqs ran workshops with students to gather their views on what should be contained within the revised Professional Standards for college lecturers. This session will be facilitated by sparqs, alongside college students who participated in the recent workshops. It will examine the process that sparqs engaged in for gathering participants’ views and ensuring that the student voice can be accurately captured and reflected in the revised standards. College students will then highlight what they consider to be the important values, knowledge and skills that their lecturers require in order to create an excellent, inclusive learning experience. We will also look at how the new standards can be used by students to contribute to quality processes and assist in the enhancement of learning and teaching. |
