Within the next decade, it is predicted that one in three households will have at least one family member experience cognitive decline in their old age. Considering the projected decline of available health workers and caregivers in the labor pool, the development of new, innovative care methods to meet this growing demand is becoming increasingly critical. This project aims to support those with mild cognitive impairment through a reminder and calendar application for smart home technology. This application pairs machine learning techniques with context-sensitive notifications, handwriting recognition, and speech recognition to create a customized experience to meet each individual’s needs.
