This research project aims to better understand the Physician-Patient relationship and how it is affected by a variety of demographic factors through the analysis of online reviews. ObGyns areDREUabstracts.docx among the most reviewed specialists, and their appointments with patients during pregnancy are highly episodic with clear outcomes. Thousands of reviews were pulled from Google reviews for ObGyns from states with the highest and lowest maternal mortality rates. From this, a variety of outcomes will be collected on differing patients’ perceptions of their healthcare, and how language is used by varying subsets of the population.
