In 2016 Yahoo upgraded its Edge architecture. After review we expanded the upgrade to accommodate content from an acquisition, which greatly increased the volume of traffic. We start with an overview of the Yahoo Edge architecture and describe some of the architecture changes we made to support the new content. We finish by presenting some of the challenges and solutions that arose during the roll out.
