In a survey of graduating professional students at Carnegie Mellon, only 7% of women attempted to negotiate their initial offers, while 57% of the men attempted negotiations. That gap is staggering. During this presentation, we will review various elements of compensation that will empower you to advocate on your behalf. Topics will include why you should negotiate, how to prepare, factors to negotiate outside of salary and mistakes to avoid.
