In the age of big data and equally large resources, it is easy to write jobs that complete the task at hand but with suboptimal efficiency, taking up more time, resources, or both than actually required. I will talk about the tools and methods I use to analyze and improve job efficiency on Hadoop grids, with a particular focus on Pig.
