Faster, more efficient, and safer data processing requires innovations in both hardware and software. Our goal is to design specialized hardware coprocessor to offload and accelerate data processing primitives including decompress, scan, filter and join and to modify the software to utilize the dedicated hardware. Our first step in this transformation was released as the Oracle SPARC M7 processor.
