At Vimeo, we aim to give users the best possible experience of uploading quality video content. In pursuit of this goal, we redesigned our upload infrastructure as a series of event-driven microservices that support resumable and parallelizable uploads. In this presentation I discuss the details of our architecture, justifications of our approach, lessons learned and plans for the future.
