Moving an established on-premise solution towards a cloud solution is more than a technical challenge, it requires courageous changes for teams / people, processes and tools. The challenge of switching from one delivery model to another, motivates our practice inspired research. Based on an action design research study, we present five empirically based design principles for moving into the cloud.
