Understanding Attitudes Towards Criminal Justice Using News and Social Media10/05/2017 Objective: Guidance We demonstrate the use of NLP and sentiment analysis methods to understand public attitudes towards the UK criminal justice system. In collaboration with the UK Ministry of Justice, we analysed news articles and social media related to the conviction and sentencing of perpetrators in two criminal cases.
