Elderly Women Make!: Increasing Diversity in Maker CultureOctober 19, 2016 Track: ACM SRC In ‘The Nenek Project’, we explored how DIY maker culture came into being in Indonesia. This project aimed to account for less dominant histories of DIY making by offering culturally and historically situated practices of elderly women - mothers of DIY hackers and technologists.
