CaRing: Preventing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome based on Daily Activities from Always-Available Input DeviceOctober 19, 2016 Track: General We propose CaRing, a novel device that provides always-available sensing while typing or using a mouse, and reminds computer users’ to maintain healthy usage habits to prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. With an accuracy of 90% for hand gesture detection, CaRing enables medical researchers to study on computer users’ habits and has a potential to a feedback of the correlation of usage data with CTS.
