There are currently many approaches in the context of crowdsourcing and crowdsensing that use geographical data. However, there is no taxonomy to differentiate the features of such systems. The goals of this work are twofold: to classify the data collection processes in geo-located applications and to identify the main challenges for a new type of location-based recommendation system.
