This presentation will discuss the various components that are required to produce a high quality Otolaryngology ENT surgeon and a high quality ENT service. There will be consideration of: undergraduate education, national trainee selection, content & structure of training programmes, the place and nature of College examinations, post graduate education, supportive tools for consultants, revalidation and appraisal, departmental standards, national standards.
