Herman is the founder and CEO of Future Advisory, a global professional advisory business and investment firm. He has been a strategy advisor for over 12 years to large blue chip firms and has over 20 years’ experience as a Business School facilitator in parallel with his corporate roles.

In addition to Future Advisory, Herman Singh is Group Chief Digital Officer, for the MTN Group. In this role Herman is responsible for developing and growing their digital business; including the establishment of African Unicorn (Jumia); one of the largest mobile money implementations in the world.

Herman has also played a large role in developing ecosystems for smaller businesses; from content providers on various portals, to payment networks with merchants and agents.  He also has led the new business incubator at the University of Cape Town and the African Entrepreneurship awards for start-ups at that institution.

At Vodacom SA, Herman held the position of Managing Executive for m-commerce. Previous to Vodacom, he was CEO of Beyond Payments. And before that, responsible for 14 countries in Southern Africa, as Divisional Managing Director for an industry division for Siemens (1996 - 2000).

Herman has worked as a strategy, M&A and BPR consultant at the Monitor Company and specializes in turn-around and change management initiatives. He has held line management positions at Director level in both Reunert and AEG.
