Eileen has
played a pivotal role in the establishment of CTNZ (formerly known as Waikato
Clinical Research) which, over time, has been the longest free-standing acute
pain trials unit in New Zealand.
Waikato
Clinical Research was founded in 1978 and Eileen has performed several roles
since joining in 1989. These include being a Research co-ordinator, clinical
trials manager and later Managing Director and owner of CTNZ Ltd.
She has
25 years experience across the phases of drug development from a clinical
trials perspective which includes clinical trials co-ordination and ethics
review. She works in both the public and
private health sectors and also has expertise in managing industry sponsored
clinical trials which includes being involved in Investigator lead research.
Over the years Eileen, Medical staff and Nurses from CTNZ have played a
significant role in helping companies bring their compounds to the market.
In
addition Eileen is an author on several publications for acute pain trials. She
holds a Masters degree in Nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies
and is currently on the executive committee for NZACRes for which she holds the
role of convenor for the 2017 conference.
