ABSTRACT
Acute Vertigo
Acute Vertigo is a very common presentation to in acute medicine. The
causes are typically linked to peripheral or central with a central cause of
vertigo carrying a much higher risk of morbidity and mortality. During this
talk I will discuss the risks associated with missing central causes of vertigo
and how best to examine the patient presenting with acute vertigo in relation
to determining if the cause is central or peripheral.
