ABSTRACT
Interesting case of B.A.T.S- (Basilar artery thrombosis syndrome)
caused by TB Vasculitis
BATS is one of the posterior circulation ischemic stroke
syndrome which is associated with high risk of mortality and morbidity.
Possible suspected aetiologies are similar to any ischemic stroke especially
atherosclerosis, embolism, arterial dissection, meningitis, or small vessel
disease. We present a case of TB meningitis complicated with cerebral
Vasculitis induced posterior circulation stroke, in a young patient, involving
the Top of basilar region, treated conservatively with ATT , warfarin and
steroids.
