ABSTRACT
Functional Gastrointestinal Disease
Functional
GI disorders are the most common diagnoses in Gastroenterology. These are currently conceptualised as
disorders of Brain-Gut interaction. This
presentation will aim to address the current concepts of underlying
pathophysiology and address the recently updated Rome IV diagnostic
criteria. This will also provide an
approach to investigation, diagnosis and management of the most common
presentations of these functional GI disorders.
