| The purpose of this paper is to enhance the public’s knowledge of the official Long Term Care Homes Act and provide an accurate picture of long-term care policy in Ontario. Proper education regarding how this policy regulates LTC in Ontario is essential for educating the public. In recent news, there have been many articles from popular Canadian news outlets such as the Windsor Star and the Toronto Star with misleading titles about how LTC is handled within Ontario. It can be challenging for the public to receive a clear picture of what LTC looks like in Ontario with headlines reading “Less Eyes on Long Term Care,” which can be confusing as well as misleading. This paper will guide the reader to disclose how LTC policies in Ontario operate.
