Inter-Professional Skills Training Symposium

Wednesday 30th August - Friday 1st September 2017

The Symposium, held in the state-of-the-art Skills Centre recently opened in Tampere University, aims to address the issues of planning, executing and assessing inter professional skills training in a practically oriented setting. It will explore the learning methods that would be optimally applicable for varying inter professional settings. Two options are available for this 1.5 day symposium, with or without transport and accommodation in Tampere.

Guest Speaker 

The Guest Speaker for the symposium is Professor Elizabeth Molloy. Elizabeth Molloy is Professor in Work Integrated Learning in the Department of Medical Education, Melbourne Medical School, at the University of Melbourne. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and books, with an interest in workplace learning, feedback, assessment, inter-professional education and clinical teacher professional development.

Wednesday 30th August:

13:45 - Coach transport from Helsinki Messukeskus to Tampere Norlandia Hotel
Evening - Welcome get-together party with dinner and drinks in the Skills Centre
Overnight - Accommodation at Norlandia Hotel (on campus)

Thursday 31st August:

0900-1600 - Symposium
Overnight - Accommodation at Norlandia Hotel (on campus)

Friday 1st September:

0900-1400 - Symposium, ending with lunch;
14:30 - Coach transport to Helsinki
17:00 - Approx. arrival in Helsinki
