Sal trained in the UK. He completed a fellowship with PJ Wormald. After a decade as a consultant in the NHS he moved to Auckland where he works at CMDHB and ADHB. He has an interest in endoscopic sinus, lacrimal and skull base surgery. He is interested in patient reported outcome measures in Rhinology.  



Improving Outcomes in DCR Surgery

It is accepted that well performed endoscopic nasolacrimal surgery can deliver similar outcomes to traditional external approaches. However, improvement in epiphora is not the only outcome that is important. Increasingly, patient reported outcome measures (PROMS) are used to define successes in functional and social domains. We will look at how we can achieve this in the adult and paediatric group and what to do when things do not go to plan.
